Jaco is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) with more than twenty-five years across private equity, venture capital, and retail and investment banking. He brings financial leadership, commercial strategy, governance and capital discipline from senior executive and board roles in more than one market.
He founded Cowbell Capital in London in 2023 as an advisory house: consulting, family office work where that is the mandate, and AI transition only after the work that should not exist has been removed. Financial due diligence is part of the practice — including work for some of South Africa’s largest institutions.
At Exalt Capital he sits on investment, incubation and portfolio work — strategy, financial structuring, governance and performance. Companies are started inside the house, not only backed by it. The through-line is the same in every room: a number that stands up, and a preference for work that is useful over work that is fashionable.

Exalt Capital is our own private equity business — and more than a funder. It has a startup incubator. Businesses are started inside Exalt, as well as backed by it: capital, brand, systems and operational partnership for founders who want to be first, best or different.
Cowbell does not pretend to be a fund. When a business we advise also needs capital, or a company that should be built rather than merely financed, Exalt is the honest door. Jaco sits as a director of both.
