Approach

Judgement, structure, attention.

The method is quiet. We keep the house small, the reporting readable, and the right to decline intact.

You deal with the person who does the work

No junior theatre, no relationship-manager relay. Twenty-five years in banking and investing is the point of the conversation.

Unlock value that is already there

Most of the work is not a new idea. It is seeing the number, the process or the people clearly enough to move.

Independent

We are not a distribution arm. If capital or an incubator is the answer, it is because the business needs it — and Exalt is the honest door for that.

Do not automate what you can remove

AI comes last. First the as-is, then the waste, then a first-principles design. A chatbot on a bad process is still a bad process.

Structured

Clean books, readable reporting, decisions that survive the meeting. The architecture is the strategy — including across borders.

The right to decline

If the fit is wrong — temperament, timeline, or the work itself — we will say so. A small house stays a small house on purpose.

Engagement

How a piece of work actually starts.

  1. 01

    A conversation

Not a pitch. We want to understand the business, the number, the question, and whether we are the right house for it.

  2. 02

    A written frame

If we proceed, you receive a short written frame: scope, what we will and will not do, who does the work, and how we are paid.

  3. 03

    The work

You deal with the person who does it. Regular, readable reporting. Decisions recorded. No theatre of weekly status for its own sake.

  4. 04

    A clean edge

Advisory projects end. Family office relationships, when we take them, are long. In both cases the files and the next person in are left in order.

AI transition

Do not automate what you can remove.

We do not start with a tool. We start with the as-is, then a Lean Six Sigma view of what should not be done at all, then a first-principles design. The machine comes last, on what remains.

  1. 01

    As-is

Map the processes and ways of working as they actually run — not as the handbook says they run. Time, hand-offs, exceptions, the work that lives in someone’s head.

  2. 02

    What should not exist

A Lean Six Sigma pass. Waste, rework, duplicate control, steps that survive from a previous era. The question is not how to speed them up. It is whether they should be done at all.

  3. 03

    First principles

Do not automate what you can remove. Rebuild the work as it should be, with the people who still have to stand behind it.

  4. 04

    Then the machine

AI on what is left. One workflow at a time, until it is ordinary. Governance and confidentiality from the first pilot — not as an appendix.

Geographies

Rooms we already know.

Cross-border work on capital flows, trusts and family-office planning — the United Kingdom, South Africa, Jersey, Mauritius and Switzerland.

  • United Kingdom

The London house. Advisory, family office and the City conversation.

  • South Africa

Banking, private capital, operating businesses and cross-border flows.

  • Jersey

Trusts, holding structures, capital that needs a Channel Island seat.

  • Mauritius

Africa-facing structures and the movement of capital.

  • Switzerland

    Private-client, banking and family-office planning.

If this sounds like the counterpart you wanted.

Send a note. If we are not the right house, we will tell you so — and, where we can, point you to someone who is.
